1Who we are
Melon.lat is owned and operated by Phytoventures Ltd (company number 16388003), registered at Belmont Suite, Chorley New Road, Horwich, Bolton, England, BL6 6HG. For any privacy question, write to privacy@melon.lat. We are the data controller for the information described here.
2What we collect
- Profile details you give us: your full name, email address, your website and forum usernames, and optionally your company or organisation, job title, phone number, the country you are based in, and a LinkedIn or website link.
- Account security: a hashed password, a signed session cookie so you can stay logged in, and the second factors you set up (an authenticator secret, registered passkeys, and hashed recovery codes).
- Premier billing details: if you upgrade to Premier, handled by our payment processor. We store a customer reference and your subscription status, never your full card number.
- Service usage: basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the platform.
3Why we use it
To give you an account and the platform, to provide Melon.lat Premier and its included services if you upgrade, to take payment for Premier, to keep your account secure, and to contact you about your account. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not build profiles to sell.
4Our no-log VPN
The virtual private network included with Melon.lat Premier is run under a no-log policy. We do not record the sites you visit, your traffic contents, or connection timestamps tied to your identity.
5Who we share it with
We share the minimum needed with a small number of processors who act on our instructions: Stripe (Premier payments), our email provider (account and service email), and our hosting provider. We do not sell your data or pass it to advertisers. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
6How long we keep it
We keep your account records for as long as you hold an account, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and accounting duties. If you close your account we remove your personal data except where we must keep it by law.
7Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these, write to privacy@melon.lat. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
8Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to run your account. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
9Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, let you know by email.
